I've come to realize the hardest part of sobriety. It's not the admitting addiction is a problem, it's not the asking for help, it's not even making changes and doing the work to get/stay sober. It's the thing no one talks about. The brain fog clears and you start to remember... that "person" you turned into, although I would hardly call that version of myself a person. You remember the things you've said and done. You remember how much pain you caused. And going through THAT has been the hardest thing I've ever done in my life... and I have to do it sober.

Looking back into the past can bring pain but there’s no way to change it. You must continue your sobriety and learn from your past and focus on your future and become a better person you were and allow yourself to grow into someone new and someone you like being.
